Southwest Medical Associates (SMA) traces its beginnings to Dr. Anthony M. Marlon, who first established a private medical practice in Las Vegas in 1972. His vision to provide comprehensive, affordable health care, transformed this small practice into Southwest Medical Associates - Nevada's largest medical group.

SMA offers many specialties, including a breast care program, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, heart failure, HIV/infectious disease, hospitalist program, neurology, pain management, podiatry, pulmonology, rheumatology and wound care. Our disease management programs include an anti-coagulation clinic and heart failure clinic.

SMA also offers state-of-the-art electronic medical records technology. Each clinic is now virtually paperless, with electronic records that chart your health, order your prescriptions and alert you and your provider to needed diagnostic tests. The clinics also offer digital imaging for all radiology examinations, allowing radiologists a high level of precision in viewing and assessing needs.
