E-visit Made Easy

E-Visit

Communicate with your provider from your computer.
What if asking your routine health care questions meant:
  • No hassle
  • No telephone calls
  • No need to take time off from work or school
  • No travel time
  • No waiting in your provider’s office
  • Easier communication with your health care providers
Sound good? That’s exactly what you get with Southwest Medical’s E-Visit. Use an E-Visit for things like:
  • Prescription renewal requests
  • Lab work or test requests
  • An appointment follow-up or update
  • Questions about a recent office visit
  • Online consultation
E-Visit is an easy way for you to communicate with your Southwest Medical health care providers on the Internet. And the best part is you can access E-Visit from anywhere 24/7. You can expect a response within 8 to 24 hours on regular business days. On weekends and holidays, you’ll receive a response on the following business day, and if your provider is not available, a team of providers will review your E-Visit request. To use E-Visit, you just need:
  • To be a Southwest Medical patient and have seen your provider within the last year
  • Internet access
Which providers participate in E-Visits?
Southwest Medical continues to expand the E-Visit option.  Currently, the following departments and their providers participate in the E-Visit program:
  • Adult medicine
  • Pediatrics
  • Rheumatology
  • Obstetrics/Gynecology
  • Gastroenterology
  • Podiatry
  • Endocrinology
Does an E-Visit Replace an Office Visit?
Don’t worry – we still want you to visit us! While E-Visit makes it easier for patients to communicate with their health care providers, it won’t replace an actual appointment. Your provider will let you know if you need to come in for an office visit.

Get Started
It’s easy – just log in to your My SMA Health Online℠ account and select the E-Visit feature.

E-Visit is currently not available to all SMA patients. Communications should be submitted in English. This feature is to be used for non-emergency and non-urgent matters.
