Our Allergy Department provides consultations and treatment for patients with allergies and other conditions related to allergic reactions.
Recognized by the National Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL), our Cardiology Department does superior work in several areas of echocardiology. If you are coping with heart disease, our skilled cardiology team can take care of consultations, screenings, testing, monitoring, and everything in between. In fact, we are the first in Nevada, and 20th in the world, to have installed the Spectrum Dynamics D-Spect Nuclear Imaging System.
Our Endocrinology Department provides consultation and treatment for diabetes, thyroid conditions, glandular diseases, and other endocrine disorders in adults. Our team of physicians, nurse practitioners, certified diabetes educators, and registered dietitians, are highly experienced in educating you on blood sugar control, use of insulin pumps, and providing you with individualized medical nutrition therapy.
Our Gastroenterology Department specializes in the consultation and treatment of stomach, colon, intestine, esophageal, and liver disease, as well as Hepatitis C. We also perform outpatient procedures such as colonoscopies, sigmoidoscopies, and endoscopies.
Our Neurology Department provides consultation for new and chronic neurological disorders that may impact the brain, spinal cord and nerves. We also offer EEG/EMG diagnostic testing interpretation.
Our Pain Management specialists will help you cope with acute, chronic, or cancer pain conditions. We can diagnose and recommend interventional therapies and help you manage your pain medications.
Our podiatrists and podriatic hygienists can handle everything from injuries of the foot and ankle to diabetic foot care.
If you suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia or an autoimmune disease, the Rheumatology Department at Southwest Medical can help. We offer a full array of services for those affected by rheumatic conditions including consultations, tests, specialized treatments, and follow-up care. We can also help with joint, bursa, and tendon injections as part of your treatment regimen.
